Disability Direct is looking to recruit an exceptional individual to co-ordinate the new Accessible project
We are seeking to improve access to heritage through the medium of an oral history project supported by news articles, recordings, photographs etc (artefacts), delivered by, supported by and evaluated by disabled local people.
Managing a team of volunteers, this role will plan and co-ordinate resources to work with people from the disabled community to record the history of the charity, and the impact it has had on the lives of disabled people for the past 30 years.
You will contribute to the development of volunteers and work with the East Midlands Oral History Archive to train and upskill the volunteers, providing them with the means and confidence to interview and record the oral history of Disability Direct.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with Disability Direct and create a piece of History which will be accessible to all.
