We are currently recruiting for 3 new teams members here at Disability Direct.
Position 1 – Community Engagement Officer working with ethnic minority groups
The team member will be working with the Community Cares project supporting disabled and older people in the community who have no other means of support
The project helps older people to get online so they are able to access appointments, stay in touch with family and internet shop.
As well supporting people to become more digital, we offer a shopping service, wellbeing calls,transport to appointments etc.
28 hours a week Monday to Thursday – £16,936
Position 2 – Benefits and Disability Income Advisor
This is a new position created to support those people who are struggling during this cost of living crisis.
The successful candidate with have knowledge of the Disability Benefits system and other funding streams/grants that the government/local authority/charities offer.
21 hours a week Monday, Tuesday and Thursday – £12,700
Position 3 – Support Worker – Activities and Care
Working with the members of the Enabled Centre, this post involves organising activities and learning opportunities as well as personal care.
The successful candidate would preferably have had ‘Moving and Handling’ experience but full training will be given.
Must be creative and fun.
26 hours a week over 4 days – £13,041
